This 36" x 48" wall chart shows the connections between terrorist groups and individuals who participated in the planning of and execution of the 11 Sep. 2012 attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. These groups include al-Qaeda, Ansar al-Sharia Darnah, Ansar al-Sharia Benghazi, Ansar al-Sharia Libya, Ansar al-Sharia Tunisia, the Mohammed Jamal Network, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) and al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM). The chart also highlights operational and personal relationships between individuals involved in the attack. Red lines indicate affiliates, green lines indicate mutual assistance/collaboration between groups or individuals and blue lines indicate personal relationships between individuals. The upper and middle right portion of the chart focuses on the links between Ansar al-Sharia Darnah, Ansar al-Sharia Benghazi, Ansar al-Sharia Libya and Ansar al-Sharia Tunisia. The upper left portion of the chart focuses on core al-Qaeda. The middle left portion of the chart focuses on the Mohammed Jamal Network and Nasr City Cell. The lower portion of the chart focuses on AQAP and AQIM. The bottom portion of the chart includes a timeline of the attack starting from 2030 local time on 11 Sep. 2012 to 1000 local time on 12 Sep. 2012.
