This 44"x36" chart shows the organizational structure of the Islamic State (IS) after its Emir Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi announced the formation of a new caliphate and changed the name of the group from Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) to IS on 29 Jun. 2014. It shows the administrative structure of the group including the Delegated Committees and Dawawin which govern IS and its wilayats (provinces) that are shown with green lines across Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Libya, Philippines, Bangladesh, Egypt, Russia, Nigeria, Afghanistan and Pakistan. It also shows senior leadership and key figures. Its split with al-Qaeda Emir Ayman al-Zawahiri is shown along with some of the related messaging traffic. The chart also shows the different iterations of the group including al-Qaeda in the Land of the Two Rivers (AQLTR) the Mujahideen Shura Council (MSC), the Islamic State of Iraq (ISI) and Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). A timeline showing important organizational milestones for the group is at the bottom.

The wall chart has an adhesive backing that lets you attach it directly to a wall and then pull it off and reposition it when you want. It is made with a polypropylene based material that is water resistant and flexible with a matte surface finish.
